LUXURY

I am living with my boyfriend in a one bedroom apartment in CPH. I actually like it a lot - but mostly because i am living there with him. I used to live in a very rough neighborhood with prostitutes, pushers and heroin-users. Every single day i met junkies in my building - they left the needles on the floor in the hallway. I hated the problems of the area, but loved what that part of the city had to offer. Great food, unique shops, good bars and a very local feeling in the middle of the big city. Anyway - I have always loved danish design and for a couple of years I have been aware of the fact that i won't be able to live without the "Poeten" couch. Recently I got the same feeling when I saw some of Rick Owens furniture. Its so amazingly beautiful in a very masculine way. Rick Owens is one of the most influential designers right now i think. His work and personality keeps occupying my thoughts - maybe thats why i find his furniture so irresistible - or maybe it's because the furniture is his couture. I also ran across this gorgeus home fragrance from Mad et Len. It would go perfect with the Rick Owens furniture. When it's winter, cold and dark outside i find it necessary to make extra comfortable inside and i must say that candles does the trick sometimes. I have always loved the french/industrial design of the dyptique candles - not to mention the lovely fragrances - It's funny and tragic how you can wake up one morning and find it impossible to live if not surrounded by these things - tragic is the price (I think that the Rick Owens furniture starts at 10.000 USD).
